Cindy Feeser has been with Holy Cross for four years
and teaches Preschool classes for 3-4 year olds. Classes are held on
Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 8:30am-11:15am. The class
aide Amy Saager has been with Holy Cross for two years.
For both Pre-Kindergarten and Preschool classes there
is a non-refundable registration fee of $65 per child for Preschool and
the tuition is $115 per month.
Holy Cross also offers a Mom’s Day Out Program on
Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:30am-11:00am, taught by Cindy
Feeser with Amy Saager as the aide. The Mom’s Day Out Program is for
children 2-3 years old, including those not yet fully toilet
trained. There is a non-refundable registration fee of $65 per child
for Mom’s Day Out and the tuition is $90 per month.
Holy Cross Preschool follows the
Dakota Valley School
District calendar, and snow days also follow Dakota Valley.
All students must be of age for their class by
September 15, and students will not move up during the school year. To
enroll your child in any of the above Pre-Kindergarten, Preschool or

After School Care
 After
School Care at Holy Cross provides a structured, supervised, safe
environment for children in Kindergarten thru 6th Grade. They
enjoy quiet time for reading or homework, snack, crafts, , free
play, and outdoor activities.
The children are dropped off by the Dakota Valley and
Sacred Heart busses and stay up to 6:00pm. Holy
Cross After School Care follows the
Dakota Valley School
District calendar, including early out and snow days, when After
School Care at Holy Cross begins early as needed. The cost is $10
per day for regular days, $12 per early out day.

Sunday School
 In
Ephesians 6:4 the Lord urges parents regarding their children,
“Bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.”
Sunday School is provided at Holy Cross to assist parents in
fulfilling this important responsibility toward their children.
Sunday School is held during the school year,
stopping for the summer on Memorial Day weekend and resuming with Rally
Day on the Sunday after Labor Day. On Rally Day children entering
3rd Grade are presented by the congregation with My First Catechism,
children entering 5th Grade receive an edition of the Holy Bible
with study aids, and children entering 7th Grade are given Luther’s
Small Catechism.
Following worship and snacks in the Gathering Room,
Sunday School begins each week with a brief opening in the Sanctuary.
The children then go to their classes in the Educational Wing. We
are currently using Sunday School curriculum from Northwestern
Publishing House that provides a solid background in Bible history, with
an emphasis on God’s saving action in sending His Son as our Savior.

Vacation Bible School
 Each
year, Holy Cross has a large and very successful Vacation
Bible School program. It is usually held the first week of
June, Monday thru Friday mornings. In addition to Bible
lessons, activities include crafts, music, snacks and recess.
The focus is on outreach into the communities which our congregation
serves, and VBS at Holy Cross is really a community event, with most
of the children in attendance not members of Holy Cross.

Midweek School — Confirmation Class
 Proverbs
22:6 both urges and promises parents, “Train up a child in the way
he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
Midweek School and Confirmation Class is provided at Holy Cross to
assist parents in fulfilling this important responsibility toward
their children.
Classes are held during the school year, stopping for
the summer about a week before school ends, and resuming about a week
after school begins. Midweek School is
on Wednesday from 6:15pm-7:00pm. The Pre-Confirmation Class for 5th-6th
Grades focuses on key Bible stories and memorization of the Catechism,
to prepare for Confirmation Class in 7th-8th Grades.
Following the 45-minute class
time, the children stay each week for the Midweek Vespers Service from
7:00pm-7:30pm. Though these services are for all members, they focus on
various parts of the Catechism and staying for the service is part of
the Confirmation program. Also as part of the Confirmation
program the children serve in worship, at both midweek and Sunday
services, as acolytes and crucifiers.

Youth Group
Holy Cross High School and Junior High youth meet
monthly for social and service activities. The Youth Group
counselors are Tony and Margaret Waybright and Rob and Heidi Finkral.
A Youth Bible Study meets on Sunday mornings in the
Church Library under the leadership of Jon Dorr.

Bible Class
Following worship and snacks in the Gathering
Room, Pastor Vogts teaches Adult Bible Class on Sunday mornings at
10:3am in the Fellowship Hall. Topics last about eight
sessions, covering sections of the Bible or a wide variety of

Midweek Bible Study
Midweek Bible Study is part of our Wednesday
evening schedule. Midweek School, with
Confirmation Classes for 5th-8th Grades, is from
6:15pm-7:00pm. Midweek Vespers
is from 7:00pm-7:30pm. Following Midweek Vespers, a small group
Midweek Bible Study for adults meets in the Church Library from
7:30pm-8:30pm. These are usually topical studies that last about
eight sessions. Check here for the current study.

Adult Information Class
Adult Information Class will help you learn more about the teachings of
the Lutheran Church. This class is about 10 one-hour sessions, offered
several times per year, or an individual basis, at your convenience.
Although this class prepares you for membership in the Lutheran Church,
there is no prior obligation to join. That is a decision you can make
upon completion of the class. Just let
Pastor Vogts know
you are interested and he will schedule a class time with you.
If you have a background in The Lutheran
Church–Missouri Synod, just ask
Pastor Vogts to
have your membership transferred.

Holy
Cross has been providing quality Christian education in Dakota Dunes
since 1996 and is the oldest such program in the area. We are
blessed with an experienced staff and excellent facilities.
The Christian environment includes basic Bible stories, prayers, and
weekly chapel times. As Psalm 78:4 says, “We will tell the
next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the
Lord, His power, and the wonders He has done.”
